The ATS story began in 1981 when David Vikartofsky and Robert Heuer founded D&B Auto Radio Inc. in the Chicago suburbs. What started as an automotive electronics remanufacturing operation for General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler quickly grew into something much larger.
By 1993, ATS was remanufacturing over 30,000 electronic products per month, earning the prestigious Ford Q1 Quality Award in 1995 and ISO 9002 certification in 1997. The company expanded beyond automotive into telecom and broadband electronics, becoming the exclusive North American Depot Repair partner for Eltek (now Delta Electronics) in 2007.
